April 18, 1999     We'll miss you Wayne!
Well, I just witnessed history, the end of an era, things will never be the same. If you don't know what I'm talking about and the title of this paragraph doesn't help you, you might as well quit now. Today was officially Wayne Gretzky's last NHL hockey game (a loss of 2-1 in overtime to Pittsburg, Gretzky with an assist on the lone Ranger goal). I won't attempt to list all of his achievements, just put it like this: There has never been, or will be for a long time, a player that has influenced and dominated hockey like Wayne Gretzky. I grew up watching Gretzky's Oilers. Still, in my opinion, the best hockey team of all time. Hockey will miss Wayne, the grace, style, attitude, and overall greatness that he possessed will be difficult to match. I don't know what else to say, but I know that I am not alone in saying hockey will not be the same and we will miss number 99.

Well I'm being bugged to update this, so here it goes. First things first. I'm 20 now (and taking alot of flak for it too, I'm too old to go to the regular bars now :o). The page has been updated, look for more in the future, exams just started, and funny enough, that's the most productive time I have or working on stuff like this. Pictures will be popping up here and there so check back often. Master P and a couple other party pictures are up for now, look for more party pictures any day now. The sunscreen song is up in lyric form, if you want the song, mail me. I'm working on a desktop page, its going quite well, within a week or so. Linux has really slowed down now, I haven't had a chance to play with it at all over the last couple months. Hopefully once summer rolls along, I'll have more time. The Guestbook still isn't working as I had hoped, I think I'll just change it, look for some change quickly. As I am writing this, there have been 244 people to may page, some may be repeats, but thank you everyone for showing up. I expect that number will jump pretty quick, I'm sending another round of e-mails around after the lastest updates. I guess I should change the version number to 2.05, maybe later. There, that should do it for now, again, look for updates frequently, I got lots of stuff to upload...

Sorry to those that didn't get to see this, there was a big server error on fortunecity, luckily I still had a local backup at home.
Well, Linux is going good, got X running almost like I want, started using Enlightenment as my Window Manager, she's pretty cool, I'm still learning how to configure and get everything to work, I'm in the middle of midterms now, so you're lucky that I can even put this back up. I haven't done any major upgrades but spring break is coming so it shouldn't be too long. I know the guestbook isn't working, I'm trying, but I must be missing something little. Anyway I'll get her to work. C ya!

I know I told everyone that I'd get this up shortly after Christmas. Technically, I didn't say how long shortly was, but anyway.
I'll give some excuses: First, school started and the homework is piling on as usual. Second, I got a Linux disk for Christmas, which means I've been playing with that all of my spare time. I'll give updates later on with my adventures in Linux. I got thinking about this the other night and thought I better get this page up, even thought I haven't completely finished it yet. I want to put my wallpapers up (I got about 30 of them) and maybe some photo galleries. A friend of mine keeps sending me jokes (I have about 200 of them archived) and I want to put the best 100 or so on here. This will be the place to find out about updates, so just check here.

Intro:
For those of you that don't know me, just call me Burger. I'm a 19 year old guy from Canada, somewhere in Saskatchwan if that makes a difference. I go to school, second year Electrical Engineering with Computer Science degree (or diploma, I haven't decided yet). That means that I'm busy most of the time, but when I get some time off, I like to go for a bike ride, maybe the gym, or watch some TV. I love my computer, not that its huge, its a P133, almost 2 years old by now. But with the ASUS motherboad and other little tricks it is one of the more stable computers I've seen, even in Win95 (one of the least stable OS's I've seen). That's about all for now.
